Why does everything have to prove itself to you?
Your open mind is harsh and cold.
KNOW THE JOY
of excitement for its own sake
Over something that isn't alcohol
LIKE SOMETHING
without knowing it
And accept your wrong
when you're wrong
LET THINGS
be as good as they seem
The naive are happy,
don't you know
TRUST SOMETHING
you don't understand
Even though I know
it's my mistake
Your open mind is harsh and cold.
KNOW THE JOY
of excitement for its own sake
Over something that isn't alcohol
LIKE SOMETHING
without knowing it
And accept your wrong
when you're wrong
LET THINGS
be as good as they seem
The naive are happy,
don't you know
TRUST SOMETHING
you don't understand
Even though I know
it's my mistake
Author notes
Partly inspired by the Desiderata, and subconsciously by Mark Titchner ( www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/arts/platform-for-art/artists/titchner.asp , www.vilmagold.com/pages/previouspages/mark3.htm ).
I promise, this poem rewards contemplation.

I totally got it. This One I could apply to life without it seeming too ordinary. Really loved this one.
