You’re treading down a dark unknown road;
You just can’t see what’s up ahead;
All alone, you’re bearing your load;
You think you might be better off dead;
You’re feeling things so strange and new;
You’re going to places you’ve never dreamed;
You look in the mirror and don’t see the old you;
You question whether you’re still unredeemed;
Yet I see someone who’s forging a path,
Ordained by a greater pure Heart;
In time you’ll see you’re not subject to wrath,
And His love for you will ne’er part;
Look deep within, to the depths of your spirit,
For it echoes the Lord’s word of truth;
He speaks to you; yes, you can hear it,
And your ache for Him adds as a proof;
My dear li’l brother, please have great hope;
Your path remains, set by the Father;
He gives you truth and grace, like a rope;
You still have Jesus, your divine Brother;
There remains for you great and awesome things,
Prescribed for you; cut to custom fashion;
He will show you, to provoke you to sing,
For you remain His, like a singular passion;
So wait upon Him, and cling to His mercy;
Let Him e’er be your greatest aim;
Your heart will soar, once paid on the tree;
To live is Christ; to die then is gain.

I have seen you around....alot of my christian friends pages..but never did take the time to come read your work....what a blessing it has been to read this lovely and inspirational poem. God will bless you for your expressions of faith.

This was one of those situations where I was talking with someone who was having a hard time, and I could see what the Lord was doing in their life. The moment I started writing what I saw, the Lord had it all written down for me. It was just a matter of what He wanted to give such a person.
We who struggle to live for Him have Him to encourage us to where He desires us to be. Praise be to Him alone!

Wow! This could be shared with so many that are struggling in their walk with the Lord. You have blessed me bountifully just reading this...it encourages me that even in the valley He is there with me. Hey Bob I only have a few minutes, but I haven't actually commented on any of your poetry lately. I've read a few, but my time online has been quite limited. I actually shouldn't even be online right now, but I should be getting ready for VBS for today
Oh well! Anyways, very wonderful poem for Justin! So full of God-given encouragement, strength, support, and everything that I would expect from you. I can see he loved it and it touched him much.

I don't know what to say Bob other than you did happen to touch me and emotionally irk me here. It gave me a lot of hope, and I don't know how to thank you.
I am praying for you. I've not been quite strong lately, but as you say I do believe Christ's not left me. I feel Him so close to me, and I'm starting to feel my sorrow for trying to close Him out when He's been clearly talking to me. "Are you going to go back on everything you've said to Me?" That rings loud in my ears still.
Thank you again. I really do appreciate all you've done and all that you've been doing. Thank you Bob.
