A Menu Of The Psychotic

Wheres the button i can just press pause
what did i do? whats the cause
no one listens, and I am  done
so why cant I hide, why cant I run

Sleeping pills keep me down
an answer to freeze this frown
let the razor slide cold
let the pain remorse bold

Slide down the liquor
make my senses flicker
feel the hilousant of pot
mmm that hit the spot

magic mushrooms help the desire
the taste is bad, but this pain is no liar
put my special jacket on tight
i tend to break the buckles of insanities white

The oh so familiar sting of a needles poke,
the undeniable with drawl unspoke
white powder so nicely ground
in through the nose, and I'm spellbound

Ill take a couple of my best friends, vikadin
reminds me of the candy i took in the loony bin
unwanted, random nights of lust
being naughty is a must

look at all those pretty rocks
hidden in my little box
cooked to kill, next comes meth
gasoline flavored death

A game of Russian roulette
I'm playing by myself, so there's nothing to regret
this is a menu of the psychotic
a test tasting of life, my own personal quixotic

Author notes

I wrote this poem previously for just review, but now i think its time to see it in a contest. When i was thinking of something to write to those lyrics, I wanted to write something new different, and inspired, but this poem just kept pushing past my train of thought! Hope yah like it

    Oh wooooow, I really like this. I hate rhyme in poetry, but I like how you chose multiply drugs & it's really nicely written.

    Thank you for your comment... You are the VERY VERY first person to see past the drug related theme. Most people are automatically like, wow this persons a drug addict, this persons psycho... But this poem trully is about everyday struggle. It was struggles in my life, but im glad you could relate to it! I thought nobody would figure it out but you can definately think out side of the box...

    wow i liked this one. It pictured a struggle we have everyday. Not the drug struggle, but the oen to be able to give into our own little pleasures. I don't know, hah. I did love this one especially the second to the last stanza. It has a dark flavor written all over it. Good Job!

    I liked this ... you're also the first to choose this option *clap, clap, clap* Loved the line "I tend to break the buckles of insanities white" in fact, I'm quite jealous of the line, really. Thanks for the entry.
