The day has flung her golden gates
To call the outcast home
The day of laughing love awaits
For us, you know;
For us.
The world is swirled with sun and stars
And when appears the end
The hope of heaven, oh, is ours—
For us, my friend;
For us.

sweetness
i really liked this...it's exactly how i've been feeling every day lately. Amazed by the goings on of life around me and God's hand in everything, every tiny detail of it and how it's all just mounting towards something greater than we could ever have dreamed up here on this earth. This expresses that hope and excitement perfectly!

Matthew 9:37 "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."
i love this poem. Short and very much to the point. Thanks for posting and sharing. -
This is very sweet in it's brevity.
If you want any suggestions I might just say that I really liked the internal rhyme in the first line of the second stanza, is there a way to work one in to the first line of the first stanza too?
It might tighten the feel even further.
Just a thought.
I hope you are ok.

PRAISE JESUS!
Reminds me of a chorus:
"What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
When I look upon His face,
The One Who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me to the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day, that will be!"
Love you, Rita- I miss you.
