One day my friend said to me
“If you had one wish, what would it be?”
As always, you were on my mind
And my answer was not hard to find.

“The thing I would wish for most,”
I said with no hesitation,
“is for Jake and me to stay together,
even through all this frustration.
No matter what may happen
between the two of us,
I wish for things to never darken.
Even though we may fuss,
I love him with everything inside.
I wish with all my heart
for us to stay together forever
and never grow apart.”

What I said was no lie.
Even though you’ve made me cry

And that love will never die.

We’ve gone through so much already
Yet our relationship is still steady.
After only three months of being with you,
I’ve learned only that each day I spend with you
