End

So, this is the end.
Well, we all know that's a lie.
It can never really end.
The things you said, the things you did,
The small things, the big things,
things that can never be erased.
You can leave, travel to the other side
of the world if you wish,
but I'll forever be willing your return.
The return of the words which once meant everything.
The return of the touch which, though seldom felt,
left me desperately craving more.
The return of the one who is, and always will be
considered a trusted friend.
So if your presence here has really come to an end,
as most do, go ahead and leave.
But before you go, promise one thing.
You won't forget.
You won't forget how much you meant and how you made me feel,
that you won't forget everything that has happened.
Just don't forget me, or how I made you feel.
That is, if you felt anything at all.
I could promise this to you. I mean, how could I forget.

i can imagine the void canyon left within you at this in your words,
and the desperation to have the now dried river return to ruch through and bring life to what (mayhaps) has become desolate.

    amazing

    ooohhhh so lovely
that was amazing, I never really realized how true it is too.
The end can never really come
This showed some hope and then that seemed broken at the end which made the poem seem so much more powerful
I think you did great on this and it was really sweet too
keep writing because this was really good.
    take care.
