Love and the Raging Bull

Missing image

Love- quality vs. quantity…
two separate, competing yearnings scrambling upon this earth…

In his ear, the sounds of eternity
whispered through her parted lips…
she feels his pulse, pounding first,
but always she must not forget
to put him back in his stable when she is finished…

He:
"How many can I conquer?" This is what his nature compels…
like a raging bull in a field of heifers
he has a natural urge to sow
his seed,
a blind, wild reproduction seething in the tiny kernel of his mind…

She:
"Come hither, stay with me forever,
you and I, together, as one… with eternal love…"

this to guarantee peace, love, and a bountiful harvest…

You see, there is a problem here!

  Wise men throughout history
have ceaselessly tried to devise
ways to tame the raging bull
charging deep inside,
if only to strike fear and wisdom
into his primal eyes-

Laws and cultural mores, religions, threat of wars,
they’ve all endeavored as a whole to curtail the raging bull,
and with limited success, (for bulls are not that smart!)
to make him understand he must care for what he sows…

I might as well say it here, before I’m done, before I'm through:
“Commit to her! Commit for life, you mindless, grunting, raging fool!”

I believe she knows that true happiness lies in that direction…

Now, how to keep him from wandering off, that is the problem, for you see,
to wander through the fields unfettered is his genetic tendency.
That may be OK for cows and bulls, but not for human society…

So, by all means use a rope,
   you have my permission!
for his happiness is far less critical
   then his tame submission.

His happiness? You can plainly see
it lies out in the wild,
so don’t give a second thought
to his whining like a child!

Sometimes you must think of 'self '
to ensure your life is full,
so remind him he’s here to be more a man
   and less a raging bull!

ah so men are raging fools....ok tell us something new... fantastic artwork supported by your words of wisdom....interesting layout and presentation brilliant. you have set the atmosphere and carried it throughout along with the reader hanging onto the words looking for the next. think your words will cause some provocation but hey that is all good. brilliant write...keep the ink flowing as you do.

I can not stand tall enough to applaud this magnificent piece of art. Something written that could equal the master who did this painting, is awesome. You have exceeded all my expectations with this one. The dialogue is very clever and the advice as of from a third person is equally as brilliant. Your structure is cleverly utilised and your words carry impact. I don't think there is anything I can add to this, other than that I feel small while reading this. You are extremely talented and to have you read my random thoughts is such a compliment. Write on for in your pen lies magic!!!
