Dangerously Hidden.

She has the gift
of openness
a gift so rich and
rare

Her twinkling eyes
can bring a smile
if it's just lurking
there

A hand held out
to take the pain
when others
do not care

This one so true
is there for all
if we but only
dare...

The words we write
express it all
in dribs and drabs
maybe

But out it comes
in shape and form
and also ...
harmony

A muse is small
but nurtured well
she'll calm the pain
with ease

She sometimes hides
within the soul
and sometimes she
will tease.....

It probably manifests it's self as either or....lol but I like to think of a muse as female as it helps me express myself in gentle mode rather that fighting mode Glad you enjoyed this, many thanks for your kindness

This is very cute! I like the expression you were using in this! I have seen other poems about muses and I think they're very interesting. I always wonder though, why a muse is always thought of as a female? What if it's a really a male! Then we could be hurting his feelings! I don't know. I was just having a bit of fun, musing with your poem! lol I think it was very cute and lyrical. Kind of flowed along on it's own way. So you did a good job in expressing yourself. So thanks for featuring this so that we all had a chance to share your words and feelings with you!

Mmmm...yes sometimes I get the urge to write something almost trivial to releave some of the stress that occurs when reading heavy poetry...rather like a release valve Thanks for your kindness, it is appreciated

    great job.
    its really nice.

    the lines;
    "A hand held out
    to take the pain
    when others
    do not care"
remind me of family, of friends, and of love.
