Echo.

I walked to the place
You said you remembered
Above the sun- scorched hills.

I mumble the words
I remember you saying,
'Please, no tears.'

I mindlessly wander away,
Not knowing where I'm going
But too lost to care.

I watch the fainting sun,
As it disappears
And the moon begins to shine.

I long for the time
When you were here,
Standing firm beside me.

I know its existence is gone,
No tears will ever bring you back,
So why even cry?

I want to comprehend
Everything you said,
But can't.

STOP.

I wonder why you had to leave.

GO.

Just makes things worse.

I watched you walk into the sun
But i still felt your hand in  mine
How?

I can't be strong anymore
Tears fall, piercing the song
And ruining the melody in my mind.

I need you here.
