Garden of Eden Poems

A sacrifice to stop
the ceaseless winding,

silent corruption,

of Adam would be
as nothing

to such a love.

__________

Tears from silence
pleading apples not to fall,
to take Him; to place Him.
To quiet relentless cravings
for forbidden impossibilities.
Yet His cravings are for man alone,
      apples will not satistfy.

Trust in Eve, sister and wife; flesh, blood and bones of the Body.
Trust in Fate, angel of darkness, light, and impossible middle ground.
Yet, trust in Able, above all else, and in crisis, rely. Foregone Conclusions die, as Cain shall. As Able need not.

Author notes

These two went together in my mind, but don't seem to on paper. Well, computer screen.

i think you have a wonderful expression here but i am prejudiced, i like your work. if you want, try playing with the order of thoughts by rearranging the sentences and ideas, just an idea to help you see how much depth you have going on in this poem. blessings and best wishes, ~richard
