Caffeine knack
Down the java,morning start
Scratch the nuts,healthy fart
Brewed
Stewed
Start the day right
Well into the night
Pass the joe
Don't be slow
Worlds best drink
Makes one think
Surely gets my vote
Hits the high note
Steamy
Dreamy
The speed freaks liquid gold
Some even like it cold
Caffeine knack
Coffee black
Author notes
This form(Invented by me) can be read top to bottom or bottom to top.Coffee has been a staple addiction of mine for 33 years beating out smoking by a year.It saved my butt several times in the Navy,by keeping me awake during those long, cold graveyard watch duties,God bless the black stuff!

So said in a simple way. Good write. Sometimes the simplest form is the best written.

That was fun to read. I think I'm going to time myself and see how fast I can recite it out loud without getting tongue-tied.
I am really enjoying your goofy poems! Write on!

I like this a bunch. The form is quite interesting and unique. The literal-ness of it is really refreshing. This is a great romp of a poem, read aloud, either way! Fun stuff, it would go over well read at our coffee shop. I'm also a hopeless coffee tweaker.lol. All day and all evening.
Peace, Rob -
Great. Please leave this in the contest until after I announce the book. This will ensure my easy access to the poem and to contacting you with further details. Thanks.

I changed my mind about this and would like to include it, especially if you provide me with an interesting author bio as per the contest notes' suggestion. IM me with your name and state (town) if preferred, and be sure to put your coffee story in the author's comment box here.

That was a great poem...I love how one thing flows to another very nice job

WOW! That is a very interesting form you have created. I enjoyed the imagery and flow of this both front and back. The imagery has me drooling for some coffee as I rub my sleepy eyes. I love cold coffee and yes it gives me the gas too. Loved the humour intertwined in the poem.
All the best,
Charishma

I like it cold!
Ice-coffee is the best! And yes, it gives me gas so, I fart too.
But do wonder why you scratch your nuts.
Does it make you itch too?
It is indeed my delightful pleasure to read one of your original Wittians again. I've missed you dear brother. I hope you are well. You've stated some truths about coffee in this writ with great humor, and wit. I wish you the best in this challenge dear heart. I know the anthology readers will really laugh at this one.
♥ I LOVE YOU ♥

Kinda hard for me to scratch my nuts! So I guess I'll have to dig deep on that one!
Hits the high note? Me thinks you may have scratched a little too hard eh?
I don't think that there is a coffee lover alive that wouldn't, couldn't relate to this write you've penned here! I know I do!

Very interesting form here, with a touch of humor, and a love for coffee that shines through, well done
