The Ache refuses to leave
since we said good-bye
Author notes
This is obviously about having to say good-bye in general, something I've had to do a lot of recently. Looking back at it I suppose it could be misinterperated to being about a break-up or something, but it's not...although I guess it's up to the reader to interperate it however they like. I orrigionally put "since you said goo-bye" so I replaced it with "we" to make it clearer what I was talking about. Do you think I should have kept it as is? ...I don't write in Haiku's too much but sometimes it's just the easiest, best way to consisly spell out how I feel.

I don't know why I haven't commented on these before. They are alol really great. This one is so much of an MK poem, yet I think everyone can understand it. you sure write a whole lot more haikus than I do. I guess i'm long winded when I write... maybe all the time huh?
Great poem!

hey, thanks for that.
I don't really know why I capitalized The Ache, though I did it on purpose. I guess I did it for emphasis...and to show that it's not some random boo boo or whatever, it's a ache that everyone knows about when it comes to saying good-bye, you know, the ache of missing someone. So... I guess that's prolly it. One thing I like about poetry is poetic liscense so I don't necessarily hve to have a reason for everything...unless some smart like you has to go and work my little brain to think about why I do what I do!!! pffff... thanks a lot. hahaha!
Oh, and maybe it'll comfort you to know, that the poem wasn't explicitly aimed at you, so you don't have to feel bad. It's about saying missing people in general, which I've experienced a lot of lately. Of course you definately have been a recipient of my miss...missings? haha! whatever! haha! Well, I hope you're having a great summer! Let me know how you're doing! Oh! In Italy I saw all these masks, and I wanted to get one, but I just couldn't find one better than the one I already had.
hehe Take care, you!

awesome! :-D
I think it's perfect the way it is. although I'm not sure whether to be proud or sad. haha. any reason in particular why you left "The Ache" capitalized? anyway, I really like it -- it's short, and thus leaves alot to be interpreted, and it's the same way with good-byes -- each one is different, and is interpreted differently depending on who's involved... you did a great job capturing that. :-D -
awww....this was beautiufl. since my pops is in the military, i have had to grow up with saying good bye every few years or so. great haiku, i need to write some. lol, ttyl. great work!!

I love Haikus and senryus...
The reason I do love them much it is because you can say so much with little words.
You have done a great job, it happens to everyone at a certain time, where you reach a U-turn and everyone has to go a certain way.Great job conveying your emotions.
Best of luck.
I don't think you should change anything about it.
