Those who look upon the stern features, or listen to the seemingly uncaring sentiments FF_ID_0 utter from within this untouchable piece of granite they call Flint heart, see and hear only what he wishes them to see and hear.
What they see is an uncaring automaton devoid of any caring emotion. Yet away from the public gaze, with their sentimentality and emotional claptrap, FF_ID_1 can and do well up, FF_ID_2 so so strong that at tomes his heart is in danger of being crushed by the very feelings he so vehemently denies exist.
A piece of classical music can lift him to dizzy heights, forcing FF_ID_3 to well up from the deepest reaches of his inner being, causing him to weep.
An expression of tenderness or a look of FF_ID_4 mirrored on someones face can force a lump the size of FF_ID_5 into his FF_ID_6 that he almost chokes....This then is the one they call flint heart.
Buried somewhere deep within this FF_ID_7 of a man lives a FF_ID_8 and emotional being, one who can gaze upon a work of art any artist would gladly a FF_ID_9 of his life to capture on canvas.
So how is it then that within this FF_ID_10 creature dwells an entity
with emotions FF_ID_11 sculpted from ice,and as cold as permafrost.
How on the one hand can the beauty of innocence bring forth sublime feelings of inner joy while the outer FF_ID_12 the very FF_ID_13 of any such emotions
Here is a man they say, fashioned from granite, a man who can look upon pain and anguish without any show of emotion, not for him the warm comfort of an embrace, nor the consoling word, for that is the way of the emotional cripple.
Even when death comes calling, emotion is not allowed the light of day, true emotion is buried lest it betrays the real man held secure within the steel vault that beats in his chest.

Good write. I liked the last lines:
"Here is a man they say, fashioned from granite, a man who can look upon pain and anguish without any show of emotion, not for him the warm comfort of an embrace, nor the consoling word, for that is the way of the emotional cripple.
Even when death comes calling, emotion is not allowed the light of day, true emotion is buried lest it betrays the real man held secure within the steel vault that beats in his chest."
Makes me think of how I deal with death. I hardly cry or show emotion. I just put on a tough front. It's not that I don't care. I just tend to go into shock when someone dies. And, with my personal ideas on life and death and the universe, I tend to be grieve for the people left behind rather than the one who has passed on, if that makes sense. I love the title: "Enigma Man".
It's like death can be an enigma by it being puzzling for many people since death is not totally understood and there is much fear around the concept of death and the unknown. Great write.
