Accidental Suicide

She sits on her bed
in her big empty room.
Just sits there and stares
and waits for her doom.
She holds out her hand
as the light hits the blade.
And as she begins to weep
her mind begins to fade.
She runs her thumb against the blade
as the blood runs down her arm.
She promised him she wouldn't do this
and cause herself more harm.
"You do it, I do it."
he said as he frowned
"But he won't know" she whispers
"'til I'm six feet underground"
She decides it's time
as she signs the letter.
"I love you all
but gone to someplace better"
And she brings the blade up to her skin
letting out a tiny shiver.
"death mush be cold." she thinks to herself
as her lower lip starts to quiver.
She drags it across
again and again.
"This is it!" she thinks
"this is the end!"
And she drops the blade
as her blood escapes.
"Oh no!" she yells
"this was a mistake!"
But by now it's too late
the cut's far too deep
And she falls to the ground
in her endless sleep

Love it! Thanks for the entery! I know this sounds weird to ask, but I have been trying to dig deeper in all of my enteries: Why was it a mistake? Why did something that seemed so right at the time seem so wrong in the end?

    A

omg. I loved the suspense and pain of this write. Very good job, beginning to end. However, I think the rhyme went a little off track toward the end. Great job. I'm disappointed that you didn't win at least an HM in the contest. Either way, great job.

i like it. I read somewhere that most people who attempt suicide told people afterwards that at the last minute they changed their minds. So course, some people do not get a second chance...
