Detachment

The answer to the question
Who am I
opens
if all obvious answers
coming
out of thoughts, memories
or words
have reached their end

-The great forgetting begins
and finds it’s perfection
in forgetting
the forgetting
itself…..

So,
forgotten
even the need
to gain
our
true Self

Presence is left
that unfolds and
outgrows
heaven, earth
light
being and non-being.

Detachment is the Nature of that
immortal being.

No need anymore
to avoid suffering
or stay in Light,
bliss,
or spiritual states.

The
pain ful - joy ful
spiritual journey is
undertaken
for the joy of the play,
while It has always been,
what It is.

Continue searching,
if you must!
While I enjoy myself,
swimming
with dolphins and sharks
in all the vast oceans of
compassion….

…..And it is only
occasionally
that I open my eye
to take a look
at that marvellous
tiny little drop
universe….

Author notes

Dedicated to my Teacher
whose work is not to be measured
in the works he left
but only in the Greatness
of his love, freedom and
intentionlessness.

Dear Rod, Thank you very much for your applause and comment. We are It fully, if we know It,or not. Every mental movement to seek It is in reality a moving away from It. But in surrender, in forgetting, in upgiving, we lean back in our substance and the moment might come, when we know,... by being It.
    Thank you for understanding

    With best wishes

    "The

    spiritual journey is
    Undertaken
For the joy of the play,
    While It has always been,
    What It is."

The pain is only the clinging to , the joy is the surrendering of our attachment to the finite boundary of "me". When we open our minds, hearts and inner senses to Who We Are we rejoice in the play of What Is as the infinite possibilties of Being. There is nothing to seek, only That to Be.

Well spoken, from a truly "joyful" heart!

    Be ever bright, Rod

    Gratefully

WOW! What a delightful entry this is!!! Love the last 2 stanzas..So full of breathtakingly beautiful imagery, great choice of words and complete. I felt that every part of this poem is placed exactly where it should be. May the best be yours and may Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion, bless you.

    dear joyful ingrid,
what a delightful read your poem is.
it creates peace in the mind of the reader and has a taste of truth and homecoming. words of great wisdom-teachings are not just repeated here intellectually, but the living proof of their application is faithfully revealed in your write.

to see dolphins and sharks with the same eye of love, in absence of desire for the one and fear from the other, is indeed a great teaching.
may we all see the waves of the ocean as being the ocean, as being simply water ...
thank you so much for your sharing.
