Together we walk among the fallen brave men
Walking hand in hand to help keep our courage up
The corpses of those who refused to convert
Tortured and beaten, bloodied and burned
We pick our way threw with heads hanging low
For we knew we would be to late, to late by long
The plague of the false one is spreading to fast
I can't blame the innocents who switch sides to survive
And we know that we are doomed, what can just two do
Against the thousands of zealots raging thew the land
But this is our home, and we've a right to live free
So we continue our quest of vengeance and death
How many have fallen to our arrows or swords
The amounts matter not if our futile pursuit
But someone must stand up and fight for whats right
I'd rather die on my feet then cowering in a hole
So we set out to fight this scourge on our home land
Let their one god save them if he can
But by their own teaching they are committing heinous crimes
Liars and murderers these followers of christ

LOL but then you'd be no better then they are. So instead lets just amputate all thier arms so they can't really do anything.

Well, its not really ment to disrespect the religion. It is ment to disrespect and shed some light on the truth behind what happened in the days of past. How many thousands of people were tourtured and killed in the name of christ? Obviously his teaching don't tell people to do such things, but when you get some psycho's in charge well, you get the point.

Wow, I actually was goin' through your old stuff and was reading what I had written you. It seems as if I was so immature. Meh, But That hasn't anything to do with the poem.
The ending surprised me. I was thinking it was gonna be something more like Dragonlance and that series. Why? I don't know. But then again, it is both about religion and gods so it fits nicely. Haven't seen you right anything in a long time. Its good to see it.
I enjoyed this piece. And I always like your freewriting style.
