Once thought, where does a thought go?
does it drift somewhere,
tickling the atmosphere,
or does it simply vanish,
perhaps forever?
Does it linger in some dark enclave,
hidden from the light of day,
safely tucked away,
ready to emerge once more,
bright and clever?
Perhaps it needs companionship,
the stray thoughts of Man,
a gathering of the clan,
to nourish it and guide it
toward completion.
And in that soup of notions,
will it then cohere
with others far and near,
and build a super-thought,
beyond deletion?

The concept behind this one kind of reminded me of one I did a long time ago, entitled "What Does a Butterfly Turn Into?" for some odd reason. Perhaps the idea of something so fleeting as a thought, living on beyond its means, I guess.

Cheers, janet mary and thank you for your comments. "...where does the fat go when you lose weight?" Maybe it lurks somewhere,
waiting for an opportunity to come back!

Bill -
