Divine intervention gave Euclid his strength
but little Christoph was quite a geek
he was bless with a sword of great length
but never knew life beyond the creek
one day an old women gave him a quest
and sent him on a journey to deliver peace
he cried and he whined that he was not the best
but the old women scowled and offered her niece
the next day he went out to conquer the world
but was delivered into the hands of a band of wild squirrels
into a ball the coward curled
then ran faster than any of the girls
poor little Christoph became the worst of all heroes
devoid of knowledge of how exactly to wield his sword
he became known as the world's biggest of zeros
then one day he got a hold of a very long cord
goes to show how wrong the prophets foretold
as young little Christoph's body grows limp and cold

Author notes
Okay. I decided to write a Shakespearean sonnet about a young boy named Christoph. I think that most stories are so hard to believe, and that cowards don't really become kings. Most of these tales always have happy endings, and I hate them, so I made my story sad. Hope you like it.

Muahaha. I thought this poem was a little funny after I wrote it. I'm glad you liked it though. It wasn't very well written, but it was a little my style. eh, I guess most of Grimm's are sad! THats why I love his fairy tales!

Wow this reads like something the Grimm brothers would write; nicely done! And I disagree there are a lot of tales that end sadly; like Bluebeard!!
That little tale always made me laugh ... anyway you did an amazing job on this keep it up I love your work!!

Great!
Very nice, a little short but that's only becuase you were adhering to form and that's completely fine. (I just know someone is going to enter a haiku, I'd have to smack them
) anyway nice write, good luck in the contest!
