In the memory of shared chocolate boxes

I felt your smile when I panicked,
The world was running away
But you sat next to me
Holding my trembling hands.

Your compassion was my compass..

I felt surrounded by a family
When on lonely holidays
You offered me a home
And called me your dear friend.

I now consider you my sister..

I felt my heart blissfully soaking
The ink of our common memories
When laughter was dancing in the backyard
On those sunny afternoons.

All the way through you were radiating love..

I'm not truly moving away
Just moving on, following life's flow.
Riding on cloud's or rainbow's back
You will always find my heart close to yours.

May you cherish our good times
Like I did when I stood a sea away
and still felt your smile..

I'm a foreigner student.. I travelled a long a way to go to my university and now I losing my second home to go on  placement..

    by far the most fresh wriitten piece of well organized and well written expressions I have felt for some time. I was beginning to wonder if such great original thoughts still existed on some of these poetry sites, well search no further, follower, you have found a genuine poem!!!!!!

    This was such a lovely sentiment through poetry. I have a very good friend that, in fact, was becoming my sister in law. Now, she is family and the memories are different. When she first came to visit us there were many things I shared since she had so little time and space to pack to come to see us. I'm remembering going through my closet clothes for outfits for weekend trips and sharing each of those moments as though friends could not be closer.
