Unrequited #6

hey, o beauty..!
I stared at a coffeeshop waitstaff goddess

hey, sunshine;
she cut up slicedpies and I
wanted more--

lifted a cup; grand gesture,
th'ocean of her breast swept me to sea,
      one breath and I drown--

spilled my heartsoul on the floor
hey, love,
mop me up,
     hey..;
brushed back a notepad of red leather--
she's oh-too-busy sorting dreams
 her dream
of leaving
everything

I'd take her
but I
see her eyeing rough-hungry boys,

no backwards glance
for the almond-eye'd female who's
me

I chose the sweet option with the word list, that is ONE.

    Awwh, now this was wonderful. I LOVED the brilliant imagery you put into this work, it made the poem flow nicely. Your thoughts of this beautiful girl shows through. Wonderful job here.
