Once Lost, Now Found

A young girl struggles
she wants her life to end.
There's nothing anyone can do
to help her heart mend.

She's failing school
planning on giving up.
Little by very little
her mind begins to corrupt.

She's filling her life
with drugs and alcohol.
Little does she know
she's heading to her downfall

Never satisfied with herself
or anythings she's done.
Going to parties, drinking and smoking
trying to have fun.

God has bigger plans for her
and He's trying to reach her heart.
He sends someone her way
to help her from falling apart.

A girl approaches her
with a smile on her face.
Hoping to share the beauty
of God's love and grace.

Glad that friend
has come her way.
She gladly opens up
to her it's a new day.

She tells of her struggles
how her father used to shove.
Her friend tells her of Jesus
and his amazing love.

This once sad girl
is now as happy as can be.
She found the one thing
to keep her from drifting out to sea.

The one verse
that helped her to see.
"The LORD is my helper, and I will not
fear what man shall do unto me."

God is on her side
and helped her by giving her a friend.
What help, joy and peace
God can send.

I kept getting chills the whole time I was reading this. W-O-W!! I wasn't this far down the road when I was saved, but in a way I was farther... anyway, yes, many Christians can relate.

    God bless,
    Lil' one
