Dog

Breathe In
Breathe Out

As my hands shake

Try to calm

Close my eyes
calm

Count slowly
calming

Banish my surroundings
Banish the incessant barking
It isn't there

Wipe the tears away
With trembling fingers

Stand Still

It will be okay

Frozen in place

I am stuck in this space

And I can't breathe

I try
It doesn't work

Just stuck
Like i am cemented in the block

As I just hope
it will all go away
Just pray
It will just

d i s a p p e a r

    very well written

You have expressed your powerful fear of dogs very well in this poem. The spacing is very effective, and I enjoyed reading this poem.
Thank you for entering this contest, and the best of luck to you!
