A Series Of One Liners

True love is written in the sand,
Easily washed away by the tide.

Your tears don't fall, the crash down to Earth.

I reach out for flowers, but all I find is thorns.

The world doesn't need another messed up teen,
Another statistic with burnt out dreams.

Love is just a stab in the back, sat waiting to happen.

Someone else can take the dimming spotlight,
I'm taking a backseat tonight.

Author notes

OK, basicaly I keep coming up with one or two lines, but don't have the much needed skill to put it into a poem, I just go blank. So yep, here's my anthology of 1 liners Which I know isn't technically true.
Plus I don't think the grammar is right on the 3rd one...help?
