I still remember the words
“Do you know what you are to me, honey?” You began;
“The fragrance to the rose.
The myriad-colored glory of the sunrise
to the awakening sky.
The serene beauty of the moon
to the star-decked sky
or the sparkle of the waves
to the somber sea….” you ended with a charismatic smile
stirring up the emotions in me.
The results were immediate.
The spell was broken in a matter of few minutes and you left.
As simple as that-
Your love saga still goes on and on and I care not,
but why, why did you do this to me?
No matter how eccentric this may sound but
I love you.
My midnight whispers will be answered someday, won’t they?

Hey, I know this feeling and felt it way more than once too. Actually, to be honets, I'm going through it again right now too. Jamie and I can say some lines to each other, yet everytime he says he loves me I try not to hear those words. They are like daggers repeatedly stabbing you in the chest. Know why? Because he says those words and then leaves. More then once. In your case, which is wors to you, knowing the cruel truth or being spared the agony yet crazed by curiosity? It sucks, I know. Hopefully, you'll find out and it won't be as painful because you will haved moved on. Hey, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger right? I wish you all the very best.
