I'd like to take a proper job
Among the beggars and the thieves
I'd like to work and sweat and curse
And feel for ev'ry man who leaves.
I'd like to work a hardy job
And know, for what it's really worth,
how long it takes to build a bridge,
or house, or move eight tonnes of earth.
I'd like to work a grimy job
that others wouldn't choose to do,
I'd camp on moors or clean out bars
or tame the lions at London Zoo
I'd like to take a proper job
No, not for me the madding crowd
I'd like to work and sweat and win
For this; I'd like to make you proud

Having a job is a basic necessity. It’s a simple human right.
Practically everything costs money these days. Food, water, tax, rent/mortgage, gas, electric and entertainment too. So you need enough money to be able to survive as well as to be able to buy the things that you want to buy and to do that you need a job.
However another important aspect of a job is to find one that you enjoy. If you enjoy your job it makes your life a lot easier and seem as though you have to spend a lot of your time there, enjoying it is fairly essential!

this is not so bad as you think. Why is the sweat and grim a proper job? Could you not make the worl proud in another type of work. I know the sweat and grim work is very satisfying when it is finished. I have no solutions for your poem as I find it to be a good piece of work. Sorry i was no help.

The job that no one wants is the hero's job, and who doesn't want to be a hero. I like the idea behind this, it's quite refreshing to see people with original ideas. I don't know if it was meant to be this way, but it turned out very light hearted, as if to emphasize how good these people with the "bad" jobs actually have it.

Sometimes it’s the job that no one else wants that makes us appreciate what we are actually working for. And that isn’t just applying to an actual occupation my friend. It’s life. Life is the ultimate job, and our final paycheck is the great beyond. It’s how you spend your time while you’re punched in that makes the difference.
