In The Country

I see the wind as it flows
Through the golden grain
Bringing air so fresh and pure
Like the smell of new rain

The mountains in the distance
Left me up to greater heights
In all their splendor
both day and night

The sounds of birds and bees
Is the music in my ears
The antelope run and play
And the deer the come so near

In my home away from home
My cabin on the hill
Where nature is my symphony
In the country so very real
