the Air, pregnant with anxiety
in a rush of blood expels the fetus of our expectations
dripping in placenta and reeking of cigarettes
we are drawn together by the smoke of our breath
- a birth of new emotion in my body
and with every new heartbeat
I start to shake amidst the thunder of your arms-wide-open sky
cutting the cord of my hopeful speculations
lying on the bed of my darkest ruminations
I am dreaming - of this new life and the taste of our misgivings
I am choking - on the air of your bed
terrified of the embryo around which we wrap our heads
as I lie there giving birth to a brand-new situation
expelling the brand-new brainchild of our highest expectations
you lean to cut the cord of my most hopeful speculations
shivers wrack my body, the fear of such creation
the drowning man gasps for air
tugs at my hair
and swallows my hand to hold
as the fetus is expelled in a rush of blood
and cold.

This one cuts me.
This one cuts me. As I know is pale to the cut of living such a torment. I hope this was only a 'concept' piece and not live in words, but my heart goes out, just the same. -
A highly original piece I have to admit. At first I wasn't sure if it was an actual birth, or a metaphor...but it's a great write and I am really impressed with how it's done.

this as amunet has stated very unique and with a great mataphoric use. This does sound very emotional and personal as you have stated quite enjoyable to say the least welldone with the creative nature of this
love and light

This is fabulous. Very unique and creatively done. I really like the metaphor and ties to life in this and it is powerfully done. Great job on this

Wanna Take a RIDE?
Well this was a written work that I needed to read twice, I had the feeling I was taking a ride on the Mad Hater in Disneyland.
There where a lot of sign post and then smack I hit and heaved to a stop and was flying in the air then being stunned into seeing all your words rush AT ME Like some torrid tango.
Very interesting.

Very different indeed.
Interesting and very
thought provoking.
It is like birthing
a new idea and/or
poem. Great writing.
Thank you for sharing.
