land of the misrepresented

grab my hand, love
and let me take you to the land of the misrepresented
where grown people cry
and little kids laugh
and everyone is empathetic.
where no one is beaten
and no one is tortured
where everyone understands that it's alright
to let your emotions show.
darling, it's a wonderful land
the land of the misrepresented.

now this is great. the message is one that we all wish we could do. go to a place where all is acceptable. Geesh, imagine how boring that would be, though in reality that is. i do not think a world like that (as depicted also in the movie Demolition man) would be livable. Yet, your imagery, the flow, is so very passionate. Good job.

Very good. I really like the images you produce with your words. "The land of the misrepresented" sounds well even before you describe it... but when you do I just want to go there. Well done!

Amen to that! I could read the title so many different ways, in connection to the poem itself, and really enjoy that about it. Being a cynic, such as I am, this poem makes me wish for the "what ifs" more and more. So shame on you for making me all sentimental this late at night!

    Thumbs Up

This is a very well written poem. Don't we all wish that we had a retreat like "the land of the misrepresented" that we could go to when the daily grind gets to us.
