I know you loved me
For a little while
In the midst of last summer
When life was at its best
Did I smell the roses
Oh too soon
And reap the harvest
To languid presence
When did your heart
Turn to stone
The injection of scepticism
Break the spell
Your infectious laughter
Act in mime
Now I wonder
As time goes on
My heart so full
Of the joy you gave
Tormented and torn
In oblivious rhythm
Will I live with your
memory only
To the grave

The unknowns always seem to linger, sometimes to long. I understood this poem, I try to hold on to the good memories and let the bad ones fall away. Spoken with a true poets voice, excellent use of words and ideas flow within.
Love and light
