Intersections

Left hand turn into a dead end
But for now at least I'll pretend
That every things is all right
Ride the wave deep into the night
Temptation and lust lead the way
Consciences we'll for sure pay
A better day

Right hand turn down the wrong street
Only myself am I to mistreat
Yet you follow me and I feel so bad
The joyous times you could have had
But you will never see the bright side
If you are drowning in the high tide
I'm sorry I lied

Straight on through into the wrong road
Behind me, too heavy, a regrettable load
Cheating, stealing, robbing your heart
Driving us further and further apart
A freight train of its tacks and more
Feeling this pain and it's so sore
Only folk lore

Siting in the intersection of love
I dare need reach to the skies above
I journey alone, too self-centered
And look at all the chaos I rendered
Love is but a game, like chess
And right now my pieces are less
I confess
I miss you.....
