Two dogs; both black and white
and they look just like brothers.
But one has a stub, the other a tail
and they both have different fathers and mothers.
Toby is the border collie, full of zest
and loves to chase a ball.
Sydney, the Australian Shepherd, is a herder
that will fight and always stand tall.
Both dogs are smart and loyal
and willingly leave the cat alone.
Sydney likes to eat all the time
but Toby stays slim to the bone.
Toby is faster and Sydney is stronger
and both dogs like to go for a walk.
Toby has great fears of loud sounds
while Sydney really just likes to talk.
Two black and white dogs that look like the same breed
but are different as a flower that comes from the seed.

Written well.
Oh I know a dog that can definetly talk. I have a dog that can convey her needs loud and clear and she does comment on things. Come to think of it all of my dogs do that. Since I had two black and white dogs I can relate to this poem. Well done.

Thanks!
Thanks for reading my poem. Yes, they can talk/communicate their feelings. One is getting pretty old and we will probably lose him soon. Living with animals is great but life span is too short.

This is a really cute poem. After perilously persuading parents for pets, I settled for toads, fish, mice, and an agoraphobic rat named AGORE.... He's a sweety though, so it's ok....
You did an awesome job on this poem. I can sort of relate this to my family because all seven kids came from the same two parents, but we all have VERY different personalities.... yes, it's a wierd analogy, comparing myself to dogs, but really it makes sense...
Again, great job on the poem, and good luck in the contest!
Have an awesome day!
