God picked her himself. He looked all over the world at every Gardner in every beautiful place. He saw all the gorgeous trees and flowers arranged spectacularly. God said. finally, that the garden he found that was the prettiest of them all belonged to Lisa, our mother, and it was the very, very best. He so loved the way the stargazer Lillys were arranged and all the beautiful yellow tulips, which happened to be moms and his favorites. Everywhere he looked there was a rainbow of color, and plenty of trees to sit beneath and day dream about the future. Kourtney would talk about how she and her mom would have tea parties out there, and Lisa would read both Kourtney and Rebbecca a story before it was time to go and wash for dinner. Did you know that there was a tree called a tulip tree whose leaves actually looked like a tulip plant?
The day that Rebbecca and Kourtney found out that their mommy was gone was a spring day - God was torn between taking this beautiful young mother away from her children for a while or letting her come to the most beautiful peaceful place on earth where no one could never hurt or have pain, and where Lisa could do what she loved most - and that was to garden. Both the girls were very distraught with the hurt, pain and anger so God decided to send to them a new young angel to help them understand why their mom had to leave them at such a young age. The angels name was Nicole and she had beautiful dark hair and the most beautiful face you could imagine.
One day after Lisa's funeral, when Rebbecca and Kourtney were sitting alone by the garden that they helped their mommy make, starring off into the waterfall where the Water Lillys danced beautifully to the unique music the water provided, a beautiful vision appeared. Neither girl was frightened of this vision which was a beautiful girl, and she held the hands out to both of them, They grabbed her hands and in that moment they felt completely safe and completely at peace.
The girl, who they knew was an angel, said, "My name is Nicole, but my friends call me Nikki. I'm 16 years old and I know how hard this must be for you, losing your Mom at such a young age. However, please always remember that you have a ton of people here on earth that care for you deeply, just as much as your mom did, and you will always have a special friend in Cat - she will always be there just as if your mom were alive. And don't forget every time you look at this beautiful garden of yours you will know your mom was here taking care of it with you. Every time you see a new flower bud it will be her, peeking in on the two of you, making sure she gets to watch you grow up as she should have." Nikki looked at both Rebbecca and Kourtney and felt that it was time for her to leave as her job was done. She helped them understand, if just a little, that their mom would never be totally gone from them. Nikki told them that if they ever needed a special friend to just hold each others hands and think her name and she would come as quickly as she could. It was her promise.
As each girl kissed her good by and Nikki slowly disappeared, they heard this beautiful heavenly voice... I will always love you girls and never leave you - I promise. Just pick a flower and study the center of the flower and I will be there - I promise. I Love you always and forever..........Mommy

SO BEAUTIFULLY SAID, YOU WILL TOUCH THEIR HEA
Once again you reach out to show love to others in their time of need. Your ever loving heart I am sure has touched them so that they will forever feel their mother in their lives and their hearts.

Hi suzeecue, how thoughtful and kind you must be to think of these two children who have lost their mom. And it truly is a beautiful story. It is so sad when young children losr their mom or dad. They miss out on so much growing up. We know a child who lost her mom shortly after her birth. Her mom had been in a comma shortly before she was born but awoke just long enough to see her baby. We were all so saddened by this. The child is now about 12 and never has known a mother's love. I think she has really missed out a lot. But bless you for caring so much for these two girls and I pray that they will grow up knowing how much their mom loved them. Childlike faith

Okay, I got distracted by reading your author comment first, went to your site and looked at the memorial to Nikki. I will have to come back and read this later. I don't know what to say. Nikki looks like a beautiful loving person and I'm sure she is helping to tend the garden. I have to go hug my three now. I will read this later.

I'm almost speechless. That you take such a piece of your own heart and put it here to share with the girls for their comfort speaks volumes. A stunning work of warmth and compassion like this is rare and beautiful beyond words. Best wishes and best of luck!

That is truly a beutiful heartwarming story, what every Mother would want for children, someone to watch out for and help them to deal with their loss. Great work!

This piece is so heartwarming and makes the tears flow.
I am sorry for Rebecca and Courtney, for you have already said that this piece is true. This piece had a lot of imagery, love, and a lot more. You know, I have a tulip tree in my front yard. They are really messy, but beautiful.
Keep up the great work and all. I am sorry for your loss, but you brought this forth in a way that children would understand about death and you are helping them cope with it. This piece is a winner in my book, so good luck in the contest and keep up the great writing!
