'Noise Of The Maestro'

In posed rapt stance
of the mantis,

your Voice calls
to chorus
the aching whine of the fields

a swallow’s soprano
duets alto of the dove
smiling their cries~

coiled inside the cello wind
and cymbal brush of shifting leaves

the piccolo trills through
huddled cattails in restraint.

each tonal range swells
to uncontained joy

bearing orchestrated witness,
pleads
        this wailing coo from
the humane
of the Maestro!

Author notes

“Make a JOYFUL NOISE unto the Lord in all the earth.
Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Say unto God,”How terrible are Your works through the greatness of Your power shall your enemies submit themselves unto You. All the earth shall worship You and shall sing
unto You; they shall sing /to/ Your name.” Psalm 66: 1-4

Beatiful idea! That nature its self sings praise to the Creator of all Divinity. The children of the wild know and send up their carols in chorused praise everyday. As does the trickling of a brook, and the winds through tree boughs and blades of sweet grass. And it's no sacrifice in efforts but a beautiful will they all relish.

A wonderful poem. I like bible verse Psalm 66:1-04. I love book of psalm. The biblical man named David wrote lots of poems. The church songs that we sing used to be a poem until they put the music to it to become a song.

I can appreciate this piece, I think it is beautiful. I too sometimes think that life is like a song, and if it is so then it would probably be best described as the requiem by Mozart. It is not only beautiful in the soft flowing parts but also in the loud and choppy parts.... in fact I would dare to say that each makes the other all the more beautiful in contrast. Such is with nature, the erupting of a volcano is just as beautiful as a peaceful field of flowers and I believe each makes the other so beautiful, the very contrast between the two make each seam all the more AWEsome.
I really liked your imagery of a maestro, I personally don't need that support of thinking there is someone directing it all but none the lees I can appreciate it for what it is, a beautify crafted metaphor

    exquisite

All of mankind's music seems a feeble attempt to emmulate the beauty of the sounds of nature that you so eloquently recall in this piece. Thanks for this very evocative piece...at times, I could actually hear the sounds you summoned for me.

So beautiful, Him, His song, love unconditionally, and even in the silence, He sings to us, with a chorus of angels. Well done, Girl! You always just blow me away! Love and hugs! --Kelly

I, too, have always felt that the earth and her music are simply echoes of His heart. Sitting quietly in nature is when I feel Him the closest. Very nicely written. Terrific orchestral imagery.

ohhhh how you went into all the beautiful sounds that so many of us are consumed with all the technology, all the worry the sadness that is that which man always creates, and all around us lay serenity, a deep place that the Good Lord gave us all to revel in silent witness, and just enjoy with one another, and we so often fail to see how beautiful His perfect love so truely is, it surrounds us and we are blind, yet in moments like these, where some may close our eyes, and write down so many moments captured in vivd color, in our lost wanting and childrens minds, they become truth, what we all need to love and know inside to find the Great One whom created this symphony out of love and guidance for his lost children, so we may know we are loved, and in turn Love He whom gives us love,
Beautiful, I am sorry I am so entranced with only a few poets here, you are most definitely a singing beautiful swallow here in this place, and I thank the Good Lord for your presence here,
    Most sincerely,
    joe

Rich, and of course, well written. Sometimes there doesn't even have to be a sound, and you can still hear Him. That's where I think I am in the journey- always listening.

No, but I'm off to get it. I knew there HAD to be the sound of such a thing. I was used to the other classics along with Fantasia, but yours sounds wonderful. I love Vivaldi....just not as familiar. Bach is always the favorite and such a genius in his scoring. Thank you. I'm double blessed by your comment!

Oh man, I loved this. I'm a nut for classical music. You wrote this wonderfully, blending it very nicely with nature. Have you heard Vivaldi's "Seasons"? It's a series of four peices: "Winter" "Fall" "Summer" "Spring"; ("Spring" being the best known)which all try to convey diffrent elements of nature in it. Of course, many other composers have conveyed nature with their peices as well.

Also, before every "sacred" song Bach would write J.J. (Jesu Juva [Jesus Help]) and at the end S.D.G (Soli Deo Gloria [to God alone the glory]). He would also write them in triple meter (3/3 time). The three, of course, representing the Holy Trinity. --STP
