Graveyard Of The Lonely

Loneliness is the darkness that creeps up and engulfs
the very light in the realm of consciousness
It deprives one of hope, of life, and of will,
and you are not the only one to feel its bite of peril

Know that within the decayed fortress of that graveyard prison
lies one who knows all too well what loneliness is
She has thrived on little nourishment here in the rotted ground,
and if you find her, she will offer you company

It is not the same love you may long for,
but know she does understand the complexity of your silent screams
better than you may actually realize

Aww! Another beautiful beautiful write. I love the idea of a fortress and loneliness being able to bite and such. So true. *claps hands* onto the next! Beautiful poem for whoever it's for...if it's for someone, heh.
