Trapped (3)

His grin, full of charm and malice
stares me down
as I lay there
feeling helpless, recklessly lost
I turn my face away from his
in that second
I feel his hand clamp down on my hair
he pulls, yanks hard
drags me through the halls
back tracing my once-escape route
"Tari" he says with a tone of darkened laughter
"That wasn't too bright"
he pulls me by my arms now
he pulls me to my feet
his hand, clamped around my wrist
a flesh and bone hand cuff
leading me to my former chaimber

    All Hail the Paperclip!

In celebration of the paper clip
I wed the universe and God together
    As the melding becomes complete
we can see this wonderful operation,
    surpervised by the holy rhamies,
bask in the surrender of the human
mind rain. Unto this mystery unbounded
    folds of information remain hidden,
yet are given new purpose and power
when the paper is joined to the paper clip
Who can guess its wondrous marvels?
Nothing holds the powers of its glory!
Who, kind sire, made this device
Even the gods are envious of this
unending tool. All need the paperclip.
No divine intervention can strip its
name of all the praise it always garners.
Not even the wheel outweighs its importance
    Attaches messurements and increments
and the human mind is harnessed
to the great cosmic flowing of the
    insurgent universe. Entire planes
of existence are held together with
the power of the paperclip. Einstein
    could not explain its mysteries.
The universe is billions of years old.
Teeming with vibrant life in space.
And all because of a paper clip.
