once upon a time there was a young little princess
she had a friend a butterfly with wings of rainbow hues
they would play together and talk for hours on end....
one day the little princess fell very ill
she went through myriad of treatments but to no avail
the butterfly also became very depressed due to
her friend's illness....
one day a doctor advised the father of the princess,
the king, that she could be cured provided
she was given a medicine that is made up of all seven colors of a butterfly's wings....
when the king heard this advice,
he immediately geared up the entire kingdom to execute the job the king's men started contacting the butterflies, however, every butterfly that heard such a proposal would shiver in fear none of them wanted to lose at any cost their only credit in life- that of colorful beauty....
they didn't want to live a life being ugly
one by one all the butterflies turned down the king'proposal....
the king was crestfallen as the princess was fighting
a losing battle against death....
but just then the friend of the little princess,
the rainbow hued butterfly also heard of this proposal and agreed immediately to sacrifice herself, however,
her acceptance created a pandemonium amongst the butterflies....
all the butterflies collectively complained against
this butterfly to the Lord Almighty
on the other hand the colors donated by the butterfly had cured her friend, the little princess....
the Lord Almighty called the butterfly,
the friend of the princess, to his court...
It was brought to the court like a criminal
but amazingly the Almighty himself reveled in coloring
the wings of the butterfly!...

wow. This is a beautiful, extremely unique and creative poem. I love how you kind of told it like a story, but wrote it like a poem. And calling the girl a little princess instead of just some little girl...Wonderful job!
Thank you for entering my contest!
