Where is the light that I am looking for?
I can just see forms and colors.
Where is the light itself?
I can just feel the dance of sensations.
Where is the light itself?
I can just hear the sound of silence.
Where is the light itself?
I can just see a person that I am not.
Where is the light itself?
I can just think of that which does not exist.
Janaka says:
Can the light enlighten itself?

Janaka says:
Can the light enlighten itself?..reminds me of the statement from the scriptures...dunno where its been a while and not important enough to research..rough quote is "By light we see light.." My entry for this that I pulled because I knew Joy was buried with lil time to judge was Refractive reflection..

thank you very much, linda, for your insightful comment and warm welcome. yes, the curious point concerning the "light" is that the light that we are is not the light that we see. and confusing both is the root of the so-called illusion, the great Mâyâ! with love and kindest wishes.

dear charisma, thanks a lot for your beautiful and inspired comment. it is really appreciated. janaka is a name that marion likes to give me. so i use it in some poems. it is also the name of an astonishing king in traditional indian wisdom texts. with love and kindest wishes.

An excellent write! I love the first 2 lines because this is something so true and something I hear quite a bit and have experienced myself. Your repetition of L1 really emphasises boldly on where really is the light? I believe the light is within us, in our heart and if we be more sensitive to others and our own self, then connecting with it will only be as easy as glancing down the side of the neck towards the left
Divinity or the light is within us. It is our deeds or karma I believe on which our connecting and seeing the light is delayed or speedened depending on our bad or good karma. By the way, who is Janaka? I'd seen his name on another poem of yours too. Can the light enlighten itself? WOW! Now that is an interesting question and quite an open-ended thought for which each will have its own answer. Mine is YES it can. I think of the light of the Divine Sun, our brightest star, and one of the most enlightening objects in the celestial zone. I believe the Sun enlightens itself everyday and us too. The more we give, love, care, pray and share, the more enlightened we become.
Thank you for a very nice write.
Best,
Charishma

thank you, ellis, for your comment. not always easy to discern that what reality is not, but necessary.

Outstanding
The light is reality, not what is not! --Ellis -
thank you, joel, for your commentary and your indian hello. yes, the main thing is that we are looking for what we are, so we cannot find it because we are already it... strange story, isn'it?
-
thank you, playfulpassion, for your warm welcome. deep, deep, deep... with love.

Beautifully Said!!!
Oh, the light. Yes we all seek the light when enveloped in the darkness, which is our ignorance. Enlightenment is not seen but felt as sweet sensations, deep inside us, coming out of us in the way we life, showering love and willing to forgive.
A beautiful take on the contest theme. Good luck in the contest.
