Slow motion.
Adrenaline rushing,
Pulse, beating in my ear,
Stunning, running,
Force the blood through the gate,
Scratch it, don't let it heal,
Laugh, high, shrilly,
Let it tickle your throat,
Let it sweeten your tongue,
Let it strengthen your mind.
Tiny little lives,
Little people, lemming like,
Crawling, sniffing at the air,
Trembling, new surroundings,
Enveloped by the atmosphere,
Slithers down the skin,
Followed by its fellows.
Body screams,
Won't let go,
Tries to heal, no,
I wont let it.
Nails rip the new stitch,
Pulls off the lid,
So perfect, like fresh air,
Flowing through lungs,
And out through the hole.
Brain sighs,
It's confused, tries to help,
But wants to watch.
The little person in my eyes,
Watches,
Each little rose bloom,
Spill from the ditch,
Blessed by the sky,
Wilts,
Another, another,
Each follows, does the same.
Legs run,
Fatigue, powered by snarls
Of anger,
Each step,
Nearer to heaven,
Droplets behind,
Like tiny bread crumbs,
The house, so sweet,
Gingerbread,
And white icing,
Green laces.
Body shivers,
Laid out flat,
Spread eagle on the ground,
Nails pick the wound,
Let it bleed,
Let it bleed,
Then I can sleep.
Author notes
let me bleed.
