Embrace this life before you...

Embrace this life before you,
As it will not always lay ahead-
It will change come every twist & turn,
Until your days are spent.

So embrace your family,
Embrace your friends,
For it is those who'll make the journey,
Worthwhile in the end.

Unfold those wings, always fly free,
Whether your crossing life's next hurdle,
Over be it- Land or sea.
Engulf in everything new along the way,
Take it all unto its greatest depth-
Come whatever may.

As if each new awakening,
Is the beginning of your last day.

    Wonderful

I like the varied sentence structure. This poem shows a mature, honest voice. I believe my favorite stanza is the second. This poem is a wonderful encouragement to treasure the life we're given. Good job.
