Sorry, Can't Be Bothered with a Name

Cynicism the new drug of choice.
It springs eternal in the minds of man.
Handed down from generation to generation,
Each expanding on its formula, one more grain.

Apathy the new way of doing nothing,
Sits on a chair and waits for others to toil.
Don’t bother speaking, or giving solace,
There is no need to help the needy.

Suicide the new way out.
Hope dies a new death with each victim.
Leaves a void too big to fill, grief a bitter pill,
Just one more easy out, just one more lie.

"Leaves a void to big to fill, grieve a bitter pill," - "to big" is "too big".

    A nice piece.
