Understand
The power in His hand.
Though some try to bring souls to the light,
So often do we try this in our human might.
I wonder if, to God, this is a grievous sight...
He alone can move, though cursed with sin,
The hearts of men within,
Sovereign.

Author notes
This verse has often made an impression on my mind when I'm praying for things, for people, etc.
Though my poem has a bit of a negative theme to it, this verse has actually given me hope, just knowing that God is in control.
Ironically, I often find it's my own heart that needs to change as I'm praying.

WOW... Okay.... Let me say that again...WOW!!! This was really great to me. So many people do not remember the great power of our God. How great you did on this write. I think this one is better than your norm. Which is crazy because your norm is always excellent too LOL.
Because He Lives,

This reads with the tone of a parable to me. As with all your writes, this is biblically accurate, which is the most important. This is also a compelling style. I might have to give this a try.

What comes to mind when reading this is a song that I love to sing, "Who Am I," wherein they talk about this very thing. Humbling that He would even know our name, that He would speak to us so softly, with tenderness and mercy in each word spoken. It is humbly too to know and be reminded in this case that it is His hand that does the work...yet, we are empowered to pray and bring our requests to the One who can changes lives as He has already changed ours! Splendid write full of depth!! God bless! Noble1
