An Ode To The Travelling Stars (Captivation)

My mind twirls around with the stillness of the stars,
Although they travel around more than my mind does.
They appear to be so calm and collected,
and it takes away all of the breath there was.

My heart beats quickly, like the blinking of the stars
Echoing the beats of quiet summer nights.
I gaze at the midnight sky above my head,
and wonder how small circles of light
can make this seem so right.

Thoughts stumble, creating chaos in my mind
Leaving me speechless, but with so much to say
I can't imagine how many times I have prayed
That the stars will stay in the sky, far away

Though to touch that small beauty
would be pure pleasure and a great gift.
But the stars are free.
Beautifully, they cover the sky. So swift,
those stars, how they make my spirit lift.

The stars never stop, they are always migrating.
Over the world, around the earth, encompassing our nature.
They move, though appear to be very still.
And many people seem to get captured...

Thank you for your kind words, and applause... you also have wonderful wording in some of the poems I have read on your page. Thank you, again, for your thoughts.

May you be happy, safe, loved, and wanted.
    To the stars...
