For my Mom

People look at them with pure and utter jealousy.
They think to themselves, "I've never seen such love
like they have.Or they think "damn, I wish I had that with my Mom".
Yet they have no idea what has happened beyond the outside.
Two broken hearts mended together to make one beautiful relationship.
The two people see them all staring at them, they know that everyone
thinks it is just an act, some kind of big show, but you know what?
They don't care. They know the truth. They know what they have
is truly the best thing in the world and all the doubters could
only wish for such a love.
But now its their turn to just look at the world and break out in the most sympathetic laughter, because you know what? People really do look at them a wish that they had that kind of relationship. caring, loving open and honest.
People look at them with pure and utter jealousy only this time it's because they Finlay have the courage to hold hands and walk into the world together and think to themselves and say "damn I'm glad I have this" and then and only then will she say "Mom I'm glad we made it through to the road to the world".
I love you with every inch of my heart Mom,
All my love,
Casey Anne Vance

That is precious. God bless you both and the love that gets you through each day. You are truly blessed to have that. I'm sure that's what gets you all through all you've been through. I have a daughter Nikki's age, and I cannot even imagine how her sister and brother and I would feel. I am in awe of your courage.

This is so sweet, and you are one lucky lady, as is your daughter! I had a really good relationship with my mom too (even though she DID make me sooo mad sometimes. But i always loved and respected her. I am hoping to have that kind of relationship with my son who is almost 9 years old now. He is such a sweetheart to me and my blessing in life.

awwwwww! That is so cute! you should feel very special and extremely loved as most 14 year olds do not have as much a bond with their parents as the older or younger children. The gap of 14-16 usually are more away from their parents and wish to be left alone all the time or with their friends. so you are very lucky to be recieving such a note. this was a very well written poem even though some of the lines were off and structure was somewhat odd. very nice and sweet though. good job to her and congrats to you!

That is so sweet. I bet your mom really appreciates that a lot.
It is so great to have that kind of relationship with your mom because then you can talk to your mom about anything, even through adulthood and having babies and everything. It's great that you appreciate that so much.

When children express their love through words
it reaches the depths of our souls.
Thank you for sharing a part of your Mother and Daughter
realtionship with us, And truly the two of you have been blessed, There has been many cards from my own boys, with loving words, but the one that meant the most to me,
was the simplicity of these words..
Mom I love you because you make me spaghettios, However you spell that..
That was a treat in my house, and not to be eaten as a meal lol..
But in his eyes.. The best thing a Mother could do simple but full of truths..
Once again may you and your daughter continue to grow with life,
A beautiful sentiment indeed.. be proud..

    Unwanted wishes

If I should die in my sleep, I pray the Lord to keep my soul. Under my white sheet cover, I hope to never hear my mother cry. Silently, I should go to a place no one knows. From far away I'll ask God to give her strength; strength to carry on. When she feels that her day is getting shorter and her night is getting colder, I will support her. When the wind blows I will whisper, be strong. When she feels abandoned, I'll again whisper you are not alone. When she feels life has brought her nothing but misery, I'll be there to lift up her spirit.

But if you are to go before me, don't worry about me. I'll be doing just fine, but I will sincerely miss you. From distance apart, I'll wonder where you are. I'll be looking at the sky with a lot of hopes. Perhaps you will give me a sign. Probably your star will shine the most. And then, I will smile knowing that you are somewhere above looking down on me. Every night, I will be asking a lot of questions, why did you have to go? But only Lord knows the answer to that. Deep in my heart, I love you more than anyone in the whole wide world. I will always be your son. You gave me birth and raised my well. Not even death can make me stop loving you. For the time and beyond, I will forever be your loving son.

As a young man I am amazed by the things you do. No one loves you like I do. I watched you doing well at your worst. You created possibilities when necessary. And if I should die in my sleep, I pray God to never let escaped these wonderful things in my memory. Some say money is power, some say knowledge is power but to me I don't think there's anything more powerful than the love of a mother. I've watched many people that came into my life and quickly disappeared, but you never left me out of your sight. This is to me the most wonderful gift I have ever received, a mother who loves her son like no other. For that, I pray the lord to bless your soul. Mother, I can't thank you enough for the things you've done, but I am sure I'll never stop think of you. If I should die in my sleep, I hope to never hear my mother cries. If I should go before you go, I hope to always remember the love you offered.

I figure, since all mothers are special,
why don't I write the same poem I dedicated to my mom
