Beyond your footsteps lies the temple,
Step inside and possibilities are endless,
As with good there is bad,
Nightmares are no longer limited to the subconscious.
Something breathing inside you,
Are you any longer yourself?
The shell is nothing more than a piece of the puzzle,
Spending life to piece it together only to have it fall apart.
Looking inside the temple there are shores screaming,
Begging you to turn around but you walk on without fear,
Wading through the shores as they slowly part,
No longer water but grayed souls of the dead.
All with their eyes closed and hands at their sides,
A sound coming from them like a thousand bells,
The neverending path you walk will be alone,
Eyes aglow with a green fire and a heart so pure,
The first and the last.
