Grinning at my fear
Courage
Is fleeting
Pack of Hearts dying today
Afford sad stories
As the diamonds fall
The joker holding me down
With the darkness that shakes me
A solider from
A lost army
From a place
Of light
From hand to hand
The last battalion
With me
I fight
Give me a miracle
As I fight the king of clubs
I'd come with music
To tame the beasts
I'd come with your right shoulder
To lean upon
Is this war?

This took me back years ago to a song called Deck of Cards,this is only the second time I have seen the use of playing cards to express feelings and in both cases they have been good. I really like this piece steven and would not change a word. Well done . Val.
