My Incredible Friends

Missing image

You sing my sorrowed bones
to Life
with lingering Love's tendrils
laughing in the night sky ~

my veins howl
with the power of your sacred touch,
vibrant & raw with veracity.

My skin dances on the depths
& hastens to the heights
of your inspired breath,

whispering Wisdom
into aching shadows,

sighing from the Beauty bestowed
by your delicate fingers
dipped in Passion's artistry.

I lean close,
Soul listening intently
to dreams designed by Glory ~

I sway to the intricate music
I hear pouring from your eyes.

How you lengthen my Light
with your bountiful ballet ~

how you soothe my aching Heart
with your Grace.

Thank you for directing me here and for so passionately sharing the emotion. Thank you for always giving with all of you. I could not help but notice the alliteration too. Quite masterfully done too. You have an anzing rate of output my dear friend. It is always a joy to read your work and this one made me feel all warm and tingly (yes, I know, not very poetic but all the same the best words to describe the feelings it evoked).

Veracity! Hehe, that's one of my favorite words! Now, onto the rest of the poem... I'm loving the alliteration in the third line of the first stanza... actually, throughout the whole piece. Wow, it's so subtle I didn't even notice it at first, but now that I have, I'm very impressed. The image presented in the... (hold up, gotta go count)... 7th stanza is especially moving, in my opinion. Awesome job! Good luck in the contest, Mums, I'm sure you'll do wonderfully! Love ya tons!

I decorate your pillow with starfire
& fill your dreams with glowing Moon ~
you bring me sunrise in a coffee cup,
infinite with taste, waking me towards Light.

    We sigh & sing together,
    drifting on currents of desire
    too deep to fathom,
    swimming in undiluted Truth.

    Laughter moves shadows
    from these aching Hearts,
    reaching out with tentative fingers,
    soothing Souls
    with natural Beauty.

I see your firelight from this distance
    & swirl ever closer
    towards the sustenance of warmth
    in your embracing eyes.

So beautifully expressed, my dear Vlindertjie....words with wings from the lady with wings of hope and light . I'm just quickly online (still at work at the moment), but just wanted to say how much I appreciate this beautiful, beautiful heart song, my friend. You truly are an amazing person and your love and compassion make all who come into contact with you, sing and smile...and smile!! Wonderful poetry - just like YOU!

The Quest for words and phrases to honor friends we have not met, may not meet, but with all my heart wish it so...draws us together. The Quest to dig deeply into that pool of wisdom and have it play itself out on plain paper is one we can not breath without. Upon the pages of AP lie the heart of my friends. I count you as one of several I have found here who truly care about the craft and other poet's bent to the ink for need of soul's release. I love ya, my sistuh! Twist on!

    In that silvermoment
when the mist on my meadow
    escapes from the shadows
    mother earth
    cried in the night
    and the fog in my
    soul
    stretches memory
    to understand that
    nothing is clear
    but the ache to love
    I often remember,

    the way to an end
    is to embrace the beginning.

    These days with your words,
    and my words that follow,

    share together,
    this well of plenty,

    for each applause
    is answered
    with yet another smile,
    returning with
    another answer,
    vivid lines,
    stars to glitter
    a page of endings,
    revelation of love
    exploding in circles,
    flowers turning feathered dreams
    making the pillows night
    full with tomorrows gift.

This is a beautiful tribute, Wanda, to the many friends you have made on AP. If they/we have helped to assuage and release some of your pain over the past few years, you could not have found a lovelier way of telling us so. Keep writing, poet, and stay well. blessings and peace. Joy

Thank you so much dear poet, friend, sister! I really needed this, and your other comments last night--tough day for some reason--just feeling blah! did you ever feel on the brink of tears or screams, want to crawl into that dark hole inside yourself and pull the covers back over your soul's head? Of course you have! You are a poet! Hopefully I'll get a couple good writes out of this, then it won't be a total waste! much love, and thanks again for helping me put things in perspective once more! I love you, john
