Clinging to the Sill for Night Hope

Night clings to window sill.
My heart notices and awaits
Hope that comes like a pinpricked star
escaping cloud cover.
There in scrolling heavens,
she strolls, picking best blossoms
for bouquets that she breathes to life
and sets like snapshots
of her life and thoughts
and intake of breath.
Perfumed essence trails sighs,
and weaves amidst low and lowly
to inspire a loftier ideal.
She is that face against dark
windowpane, breath on a cold night,
sound of holy hum
stroking literature alive
with soft taps to heart.
It is night.  I await sudden
appearance of a name, a sigh,
a simple phrase, to waken me.
She is  my  Night  Hope,
I open curtains to my heart for.

Author notes

I do not even have a guess how many Night Hope includes in her circle of friends and admirers. But I hold it holy that she draws me in and inspires me.

    Wonderful

A really magnificent dedication and beautiful tribute. A pleasure to read and enjoy for its delicate placements of perfectly turned phrases and quietly contemplated poetics.

Wanda and I were introduced by another friend here and we had instant commonality and camaraderie.....her writing touches me in places that needed a tender stroke...to heal.

Sounds like an angel to me To be so inspired by someone speaks volumes of their nature, and only exemplifies why they are so well loved. A lovely tribute.
