I want to tell you a story
About a girl I once knew
Who destroyed her soul
By remaining in her body
By rejecting herself
To remain in the arms
Of a god she always hated
She danced with the devil
And paid the ultimate price
She became the thing that she hated most
A monster who kept her secrets within
Lied and told stories about who she never was
She gave in to society
And made a weapon of her love
Gave her body to everyone
And saved nothing for herself
She loved everyone
And accepted the crappy hand she was dealt
One day it all drove her crazy
Drove her to insanity and guilty blood loss
Her soul became empty and nothing to anyone
Beautiful in the eyes she came to trust
A toy for everyone to love
But the trouble was she never loved a soul
And they never really loved her
They fucked her in the name of sport
Touching her to the point of no recognition
Reshaping her body to resemble someone else
She looked into the mirror of truth
And saw a bloody whore
She was her own creation
Something for God to ignore
Screaming she cried and tore at her skin
She was angry at the world for making her a weak slave
Sex and candy
Sugar coated lies
Ambitions loss to a world who never cared
She could hear the laughing voices of her forefathers
Calling her a slut, a shadow full of nothingness
A waste to everyone
Trapped within her mind
Who was there to listen ?
Who was there to cry with her in despair?
Certainly not the assholes
Who called her beautiful and lied for their own cause
Rocking back and forth all she heard was laughing
All she wanted to do was cry
So she took the knifes of secrets
And slashed at her own heart
Cut it out of her broken body
And laughed like everyone else
Nein
Nothing but her true form
A cold dead body dripping with blood
A whore rejected by all

thank you so much! This is actually one of my own favorites of my work, and I generally don't like my work. Thank you so much. You don't know what this means to me.

i really love this piece, my fave part is:
She looked into the mirror of truth

she was her own creation
something for god to ignore.

I'm glad this poem makes you feel the way it does. I too want to strangle the person this poem was written to and those whom have hurt me in the past. There is no need to cry though because what does not kill us.. makes us stronger.. and although I died emotionally then.. I am still here physically and I am greatful.. thank you so much for your comment. It means more than you know.

i really do not know what to say here. there are a lot of things that i want to say but none that are appropriate. my heart breaks for the person in this story and i want to cry for her and give her a hug and to strangle the idiots who made her feel that she was worthless. if i don't stop now i never will. thank you for sharing this with me. hope2makeit

I think it was well done. A little lengthy for my taste though. The message is powerful, alot of ppl could learn from this. Pen on, your poetry does not suck that's for sure

this is my life, yes.. and it is very long and drawn out.. i was ranting when i wrote this.. thank you for your comment and your applaud.

It's... sad, I guess is the word. It seemed like a very long rant which actually fit with the message I think you were trying to convey... Her life was long, drawn out and painful... is it about anyone in specific?
