HOME (Acrostic)

He will not leave us with His foe to roam;
Oh saints, it won't be long until we're HOME!
Prepare to hear celestial trumpet loud,
Emmanuel seen coming in a cloud.

Author notes

Cross reference passages:
II Corinthians 5:6-8
Hebrews 11:1,16
Romans 8:24-25

Looking at the context of scripture in which this passage is found, it's talking about having the hope of Heaven by salvation through Jesus Christ.

All the cross references lent to the idea that it's about a future hope of Heaven, which is why I also made this an acrostic poem.

Indeed- isn't Heaven a wonderful thought?

    My landlord died this last December- I had to do CPR on his body. It was a very traumatic, yet unique experience for me, as I've never lost someone so close to me before. He was like a grandpa to me.

    Ever since them, I think about Heaven ALOT more...

    Because of that, and just seeing how the world is getting around me, and also just learning more about the Lord Who loves me, makes me wish for Heaven more than I ever have before.

    I used to think like younger people, "I want to get married before that!"- but, I WILL be married in Heaven!...

    With the exception of doing God's work until He sees fit to take us home, there's nothing else here for me!
