A thousand wishes
and I am left with doom
must face the truth
no more chasing rainbows in my room
Cloud of dust
my once known youth
Rich lies
and pretty smiles
where mother's never there to soothe
Game so smooth you never know until
your heart has been removed.
It's too late-
when you're on the corner
spit out and used.
Diamonds and gold
crack and smack
soon you're old
caught in the trap of doom
It's not too late-
have faith.
For God will be there soon.
Five baths a day cannot wash away my shame.
Men and their weakness to me,
I play the Game.
Allow them to believe it is me they will abuse.
I play the role-
but in the end it is still me
being used.
Something told me
just to wait.
Something told me
not to go.
Something told me
just to trust.
Then again,
you never know.
I'm scared to speak,
I'm scared to move.
I'm scared to die.
I'm scared to use.
But-a voice inside says:
"Live a little. You've got nothing to lose."
